James Taylor

James Taylor is a counsel in the firm’s Business Law department, where he sits within the Technology and Life Sciences group and is a member of the Strategic Technology Transactions and Licensing team. He advises clients on buying, selling, developing, licensing, using, and protecting technology and intellectual property across both business and consumer environments.

James has broad experience, with a particular focus on financial services and fintech, including blockchain, cryptocurrencies, electronic money, payments, and outsourcing in regulated sectors. He works with both established companies and high-growth startups to navigate complex regulatory frameworks.

He also has significant experience advising on the collection, use, and distribution of data across financial services and other technology sectors.
